All Smiles Family Dentistry can help you with your dental anxiety and make your next visit to the dentist much less stressful.

Do you suffer from anxiety when visiting the dentist? Countless patients have these feelings when getting dental procedures done, and it can interfere with them getting the vital dental care they require. Sedation dentistry is a great solution for anxious patients.

“Is Sedation for Me?”

Are you:

  • Uncomfortable in a dentist’s office

  • Unable to find a dentist you feel you can trust

  • Remembering bad experiences with a dentist in the past

  • Too scared to even call the dentist and make an appointment

  • Afraid to smile

  • Delaying treatment you know you need

  • Concerned about how many dental appointments you know you’ll need

  • Looking for a way to have the work of several appointments completed in just one or two appointments

  • In pain when you eat, but too anxious about the dentist to take care of it

  • Having wisdom tooth pain

  • Having pain from your sensitive teeth

  • Suffering from a strong gag reflex, especially when the dentist is working in your mouth

If you said “yes” to one or more of these, then you may benefit from sedation dentistry!

Sedation Options at All Smiles Family Dentistry

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide is also known as laughing gas. This odorless, colorless gas helps patients relax during their dental appointments. It is 100% reversible and doesn’t put you to sleep. It is a great option for anxious patients, patients with heightened gag reflexes, and also younger patients that may need longer dental appointments.

Oral Sedation

Oral Sedation, also known as conscious sedation, is a step up from nitrous oxide sedation. For some patients, nitrous oxide doesn’t provide enough reduction in anxiety. In these cases, medications can be prescribed by Dr. Adhami prior to their dental appointment. This medication makes patients so relaxed that they may sleep throughout the procedure. Most patients will not remember the appointment the following day.
