Emergency Exam
Appointments
A patient coming in for an emergency exam will have digital x-rays and digital pictures taken of the problem area. A problem-focused exam—known as a “limited exam”—will be performed to determine the source of pain and discomfort. The patient will be informed of the problem and presented with treatment options. If time is available and the situation allows, treatment will be provided the same day. In some instances, an antibiotic and pain medications must be prescribed and the patient scheduled for a future date to have the problem addressed. All costs of treatment will be discussed before any treatment is started, so there are no surprises. This type of appointment can be conveniently scheduled from our website.
Comprehensive Exam
Appointments
A patient establishing themselves for general dental care at our office will have a full check-up—known as a “comprehensive exam”—performed before any treatment can be completed, except in instances of dental emergencies in which a limited exam may be performed instead. This new patient appointment includes full-mouth digital x-rays and digital pictures, a complete dental check-up, and a comprehensive gum examination. The patient will be informed of all findings and a customized treatment plan will be designed for the patient, including the appropriate type of cleaning. All costs of treatment will be discussed before any treatment is started, so there are no surprises. Please call our office to schedule this type of appointment.
All Smiles Family Dentistry accepts most employer-sponsored, privately purchased, and Medicare supplemental insurance plans. Please contact our office to verify the acceptance of your plan. Our staff will help you determine your dental benefits as estimated by your insurance provider and assist you in processing insurance claims.
Insurance coverage verification is a lengthy process and can be difficult depending on the insurance carrier, as every insurance carrier is a bit different. We ask patients to provide their insurance information to us at least 2 business days prior to their first appointment. If we are unable to verify a patient’s coverage before their appointment, the costs of any procedures done are the patient’s responsibility. We inform patients of any fees or estimated insurance copays before starting any procedures.
Payment of a patient’s fee or estimated insurance co-pay for an appointment is due at time of service, unless an arrangement for otherwise is made with the appropriate All Smiles Family Dentistry staff. Credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and other contactless forms of payment are preferred. Click here to make a payment on your balance now!
For patients without insurance or that have an insurance plan we do not accept, All Smiles Family Dentistry has membership discount plans that provide reduced patient fees for a variety of dental services. Click here to read more about our membership plans!
